Sam Cooke at heart of drama

Nate George returned to Mobile in the spring of 2008 to bring his theatrical tribute to singer Sam Cooke to town for two shows.  The production "A Change Gonna Come" was written by Nate and presented at Bishop State. 

George, who graduated from Blount High School in 1972, launched the production in Atlanta in 2007.

Fittingly for a tribute to Cooke, whom George calls "just an amazing talent," the production is extremely musical.

"It is actually musical drama," George said.

About the Recording
